Function can extract file name in string having full path in PHP

Sometimes, I make string operation function regarding file operation. Actually extracting file name only is frequently using function in terms of my point of view. But one thing if you do the same thing like me, please use below function already provided by PHP.

string basename ( string $path [, string $suffix ] )

And test below example code on your PHP server.

echo "1) ".basename("/etc/sudoers.d", ".d").PHP_EOL;
echo "2) ".basename("/etc/passwd").PHP_EOL;
echo "3) ".basename("/etc/").PHP_EOL;
echo "4) ".basename(".").PHP_EOL;
echo "5) ".basename("/");

And below is the result.

1) sudoers
2) passwd
3) etc
4) .
5)
